Laser in-situ Keratomileusis, commonly referred to as 
"LASIK"

In order to allow access to the stromal bed of the cornea, a thin flap of corneal tissue is created with a microkeratome and is turned back.
	Next, the stromal bed of the cornea is sculpted with the Excimer Laser as shown.
Then the flap is repositioned over the stromal bed of the cornea. The flap will adhere tightly to the stromal bed without the need for sutures. It is important not to rub your eyes for several days.
